Jonathan Grimes Artist, Designer, BloggerJonathan Grimes – Artist, blogger and designer

I am family man with 3 children, I love to paint & draw and I am a graphic designer by trade. Working alongside my colleagues I supply and bring you the graphics you see on a daily basis when viewing this blog and RUBooks. I also help run the RUBooks blog and I regularly posts to keep the blog filled with interesting material, free projects and snippets from around the internet. I am interested to hear what you think about our posts so don’t hesitate to leave a comment and we will respond as soon as we can.

As a budding artist, my main traditional media is acrylic and the good old pencil. Nothing to exciting, but these are the materials I have grown up with and they serve me well today. I have a detailed approach to the work I produce and below shows a couple of examples of my acrylic landscapes.

Crystal Carter – All around busy body!

Over the years I have dabbled in many things, painting, charcoal, photography, crochet, writing, baking, theatre, guitar and even a bit of kung fu! I think the world is a place full of wonder and infinite possibilities that must be explored and shared.  Self expression is vital to health and well being, whatever your passion I’ve always believed in the teachings of one of my favourite songs…

‘ It’s not what you look like when you’re doing what you’re doing, it’s what you’re doing when you’re doing what you look like you’re doing. Express yourself!’
